The light is still on

I saw this poem engraved in a rock in Seattle’s Center. It was especially meaningful to me because I had just finished walking the labyrinth located there.

I realize I was primed for finding significance in whatever I came across after doing a contemplative act like walking a labyrinth. I was feeling sentimental and open.

I find this poignant after my last year. I am grateful for every minute, but I’ve took an emotional beating on several levels. I didn’t want to wear it, I didn’t want to admit how rough the seas were getting for me. I wanted to portray that it was all under control. That I was handling it all with grace and ease.

Thanks to all that saw the truth andlessed me as they walked past my small boat. Blessings to you.

May you keep your light on as well. See you at the shore.
