Marijuasana promotes wellness and considers plant medicine and yoga as essential components of an integrated, healthy lifestyle. We support and show respect toward those that use cannabis, and through participation in mindful movement and other creative activities we foster community connection, trust, and reduce stigma.

Yoga and CBD
Marijuasana teaches a slow and controlled style of yoga, to engage your attention and directs your awareness to the feeling of your body from within. If you ingest CBD from hemp or cannabis, you may find that the sensory enhancing properties of the components of hemp deepen your somatic and proprioceptive experience. Cannabinoids support the practice of yoga by increasing circulation, decreasing inflammation, reducing muscle spasms. and relieving pain.
When cannabis gets used mindfully, an enhanced state of consciousness, or flow state may be entered. In other words, time slips away, sense of self dissolves, and you feel amazing.
"This was the best class I've ever attended. I've never felt so at ease during a class."
The Experience
Mind
Engage your mind with the breath and concentrate. Descriptive cues full of imagery draw your attention to your body in novel ways, as you conceptualize embodied space and motion differently.
Body
Somatic movement is the perception of your body from within. Cannabinoids affect this sense by influencing parts of the nervous system that regulate movement.
Spirit
An optimal state of consciousness, or a sense of being part of something larger may come from the increase in challenge due to the movement, and the balance of relaxation.
TEACHER
Stacey Mulvey loves teaching movement, viewing it as a spectrum of energy--from yin to yang and everything in between. Growing up in SLC Utah, Mulvey left the Mormon church at 21 in protest over its discrimination towards the LGBTQIA+ community, women, and minorities. Overweight and unhappy, she began practicing and teaching mindful movement in Callanetics after having an epiphany about mortality and taking control of her own quality of life. Eventually, Mulvey discovered that cannabis helped her concentrate and enhanced her motivation. Upon moving to Colorado, she began teaching pole dancing at Boulder Spirals while training directly under second-generation Pilates instructors and founders of the internationally renowned Pilates Center of Boulder, the world's foremost teacher training school for classical Pilates instructors. Mulvey continued her studies at Naropa University in yoga, painting, and psychology. After completing her coursework honing her skills in mindful and meditative practices, Mulvey launched Marijuasana where she now travels the U.S. and internationally teaching all-inclusive classes fusing the wonders of cannabis with yoga, flow, and mindfulness meditation.
As cannabis acceptance grows, people are looking for ways to incorporate it into other parts of their lives. That includes exercise like yoga.
There are a lot of people who say merging marijuana and yoga isn’t really that much of a stretch.
